ちょっとハッピーなニュース！ついに、俳優労働組合とディズニーワールドの戦いに終止符が！

国内で、ライブシアター等に出演する俳優51,000人以上を代表するActors’ Equity Association(俳優労働組合)は、ウォルトディズニーワールドが敷地内に、パーク内で働くパフォーマーのためにCOVIDテストが受けられる場所を提供するということに同意しました。

“Actors’ Equity Association, the national labor union representing more than 51,000 professional actors and stage managers in live theatre, released the following statement regarding reports that Walt Disney World has agreed to provide space for an on-site center for COVID testing at Walt Disney World.

“私たち労働組合は、パフォーマー達が安全に働けるようにテストをすることは大事だと主張してきました。そして、ついに今日ディズニーワールドが合意したことを嬉しく思います。”と組合の会長ケイト・シンドルは述べました。”ディズニーがエクイティパフォーマーだけではなく、その他の人々もテストが受けられるようになるというニュースもを発表したので、エクイティのエグゼクティブ実行委員会は、パフォーマーが復帰するための各書に署名し、パフォーマーが戻れるようになったことを嬉しく思います。”

“We have been consistent that testing is an important part of ensuring a safe workplace for Equity performers, and today, I’m pleased to see that Disney World has agreed,” said Kate Shindle, President of Actors’ Equity Association. “With the news that Disney will make testing available for Equity performers and others in the park, I’m happy to announce that Equity’s executive committee has signed a memorandum of understanding with Disney for Equity performers to return.” 

6月23日に、ディズニーはリハーサルを翌週から実施すると発表していましたが、労働組合が6月25日にパフォーマーは出演中にソーシャルディスタンスを取ることは不可能とのことから、テストの必要性を訴えてきました。そして、翌日ディズニーは、パフォーマーのリハーサルを撤回していました。

この同意を機に、またライブアクターやシンガーといったパフォーマーの復帰が期待できるでしょう！
